Adobe Stratus

Future of VoIP using Flash Platform is here! With the release of Adobe Stratus we can now engage Flash Player to create multi-player games, video chat & VoIP applications. Know yourself more from Adobe Labs.

Few lines from the labs:
Stratus is a beta, hosted rendezvous service that aids establishing communications between Flash Player endpoints. Unlike Flash Media Server, Stratus does not support media relay, shared objects, scripting, etc. So by using Stratus, you can only develop applications where Flash Player endpoints are directly communicating with each other.

Cocomo

Cocomo beta
A Platform as a Service that allows Flex developers to easily add real-time social capabilities into RIAs.

Text Layout Framework

Text Layout Framework
An extensible library that delivers sophisticated and innovative typography in Adobe® Flash® Player 10.

Adobe® PatchPanel Technology - Preview Release 1
Adobe is pleased to offer our third-party developers and the larger Adobe Flex® development community this preview of PatchPanel, a first glimpse at combining the dynamic control of ActionScript™ with the power of Adobe’s Creative Suite®. Similar to Adobe’s ExtendScript environment for the Creative Suite, PatchPanel provides developers deep access into controlling the Creative Suite through independently-created scripts.

Durango
Durango is a framework that allows developers to build Adobe® AIR™ applications that can be customized by end-users. Durango allows developers, designers and end-users to easily mashup independent components to create new applications or extend existing Durango-enabled applications. These "mashable" components can be visual or non-visual (e.g., web services). Designers and developers can rapidly create prototype applications and then generate Adobe Flex® MXML source projects for further development. End-users can take parts of their favorite applications and bring them together in new ways.

Alchemy ! - Adobe Rocks

I was aware that Adobe was doing some research in making use of C/C++ libraries in making SWF applications. Seems like they are done with it and its open now. No idea on how its going to benefit normal Flash/Flex application developers however Flash Platform is getting stronger day by day, no one can deny. Hope all this turns well to help make a better Internet,

http://labs.adobe.com/wiki/index.php/Alchemy

Alchemy (formerly referred to as FLACC) is a project from Adobe that allows users to compile C/C++ code that is targeted to run on the open source ActionScript virtual machine (AVM2). The C/C++ code is compiled to AS3 as a SWF or SWC that runs on Flash Player 10 or AIR 1.5. Alchemy is primarily intended to be used with C/C++ libraries that have few OS dependencies. The generated content is within the security constraints of the AVM2, and cannot bypass Flash Player security protections.

Learning SEO

A recent client wanted me to do SEO for his website. I am wondering how I can do the best, even though there are no guranteed way to success. However I am Googling to find out how I can make my client be visible in the front rows Google :).

Primary constraint that keeps the site away from implementing SEO - Site is in Flash. Hmm! Even though Google has recently announced its technology to crawl Flash pages, I haven't seen anything happening in reality. Jus brainstorming with people and internet to somehow bring my client the first few pages.

Check the site and let me know if I you any suggestions for me.

My Ubuntu

After a few painful downloads and hash key mismatch, finally, I have managed to see my machine running Ubuntu 8.10 Desktop and the best part it is now jus running from the CD. I wanted to take the backup before I try anything since I am very new to this - really dont want to screw up anything.

I was astonished by the setup. It jus connected to the network happily as good as a Mac and things are so clean and simple. I wish everyone should support and get this kind of useful things grow well. I am volunteering from today for Open Source in a very serious way.

Ubuntu Rocks!

Say hello to Gmail voice and video chat

Much awaited feature from Google is now out for use. Somehow this is not working in my IE8. Have to test with other browsers and find out what is causing the problem.

My latest work - G Force Innoventions

My recent project was for a G Force Innoventions in Dubai. They are specialized in holograms and high-end printing and packaging materials. This project has been quite a challenge since I had to do the creative elements as well as the programming portions of it.

Anyway I believe the work has come out well and feel happy about it. I am trying to do the SEO for the same, its really blowing me man! SEO is so cool and challenging. I wish to be working in this forever.

Life is just a game and everyone wants to win, everytime :)

Connecting NSF database to Flash

I am working on a task to create a connection between Lotus Domino Notes (NSF database) & Flash. Data is mostly about contacts & address details for branch offices of my client.

System specs: Linux server with PHP5 and MySQL.

What do you feel is the best way to integrate the data with the front-end?
